Two former security employees at the Neiman Marcus department store in Northbrook, Ill., who were fired last year for engaging in sex at work filed a lawsuit Tuesday alleging they were illegally videotaped.
Steven Chalem and Veronica Miranda, identified in the lawsuit as residents of Evanston, Ill., allege they were secretly videotaped by a manager while employed as loss prevention investigators at the store in 2007. They describe themselves as "close friends" who worked together for several years.

Today is the 50th anniversary of the debut of The Huckleberry Hound Show, the second H-B series. (The first was, of course, Ruff 'n' Reddy.) At least, the official date was October 2, 1958, which was a Thursday. The show was syndicated and aired on different days in some cities...but 10/2 was apparently the first day it was broadcast anywhere. It was the day the world "met" Huckleberry Hound, Yogi Bear and Boo Boo, Mr. Jinks, Pixie and Dixie.
The Huckleberry Hound Show was the first animated series to win an Emmy Award. Of greater significance is that it was what put Hanna-Barbera on the map and established the beachhead for animation on television.

One of the problems with being a Democrat now is that it is difficult to tow the party line- and ignore the fact that Obama did nothing to stop this bill, in fact, he spoke for it. McCain supporters can't say McCain broke from the pack on this one either. In fact, its fair to say that BOTH candidates failed on this bill and helped in the swindle.
