BANNED OSCAR SONG, HUNTER S. THOMPSON'S WAKE, WORST SONGS OF 2004, PREACHING DOG, DON RICKLES IS COOL!
ABC executives have forced Robin Williams to drop a comic song from the Oscars show that might well have proved one of the sharpest, most political and raciest numbers of the broadcast, despite the fact that the network and the show's host, Chris Rock, have been promoting the night as anything but tame.
Williams, the presenter of the Academy Award for best animated feature, decided last week that his one minute on stage would be a prime time to lampoon a conservative critic James Dobson, whose group Focus on the Family last month criticized the cartoon character SpongeBob SquarePants for appearing in a video about tolerance that the group called ``pro-homosexual.'' http://www.registerguard.com/news/2005/02/27/a20.nat.oscar.0227.html Hunter S. Thompson's Wake: His wake consisted of being propped up in a chair, as his family and friends drank Chivas Regal.
Narrowing down the worst songs of 2004 to a mere eleven was possibly the hardest thing I've ever done. Not safe for work.

The most painfully boring of all the Trek spinoffs has people protesting the show being taken off the air for no better reason than apparently they just want a Trek universe around. They can't actually be watching the show!
Hey guys, go out and rent FORBIDDEN PLANET- the military unit in space film that the entire STAR TREK universe was based on. They even have the same insignia, except it is on the belt buckles of the FP military and not the shirts. Nine Songs, a film with 30 minutes of very real sex scenes is causing controversy across Europe. Not safe for work.
As historians begin to use terms like "unprecedented" and "historic" to define Bush's policies this writer contrasts Europe's hatred for Reagan and the hatred for Bush. This writer has just figured out that Bush could very well still be judged right and the world media, wrong.
Now when you brush your teeth, you can do it to the sounds of the street!
The King of Zing and one cool guy, Don Rickles has signed up for a new year on the boards. Still funny and on stage at 78- good for him!
