Metal Machine Music (MMM) is a notorious proto-industrial-noise album by Lou Reed of Velvet Underground fame.
Composer and musician Ulrich Krieger has used the modal foundation of MMM as a guide to transcribe it for classical instruments. It has already been performed live, sometimes with Lou Reed sitting in on electric guitar, the only instrument of an electronic nature in the performance.
