It is almost as if by saying it, the nation could collapse. This is as childish as wanting the world to love us. In spring 2000, Intuit took possession of the contents of artist Henry Darger's living and working space, which was located at 851 Webster Street in Chicago. Intuit's Henry Darger Room Collection includes tracings, clippings from newspapers, magazines, comic books, cartoons, children's books, coloring books, personal documents, and architectural elements, fixtures, and furnishings from Darger's original room.
 Darger lived in a one-room apartment in Chicago's Lincoln Park until 1973 when he retired to a nursing facility. In his small room—which doubled as his studio and home for close to 40 years—he worked on a large number of painted and collaged drawings that illustrated the story of the Vivian Girls, created volumes of writings, and collected hundreds of objects (shoes, eyeglasses, balls of string, etc.). The contrast between the intimate scale of the room and the staggering volume of drawings, illustrations, writings, and collections, conveys vital information about Darger's existence and the work he created.
The goal of the exhibit is to create an environment that provides a window onto Darger's world.

Two masked and machete-wielding men who barged into a club in Sydney, Australia, couldn't have picked a worse night for their robbery -- a monthly meeting of bikers.
The robbers chose the wrong night to burst into the club where the Southern Cross Cruiser Club have their monthly meeting. About 50 burly bikers fought back with tables and chairs -- pretty much anything that wasn't bolted down. One would-be robber was tied up; the other in the hospital.
Police arrested both.
"These guys were absolutely dumb as bricks," Jerry Vancornewal, leader of the bikers, told CNN Thursday. Once we hit our 70s, most of us might as well hang up an "out of business" sign.
So much for the gym-bodied baby boomers who promised to make 60 the new 40, using Botox as an aphrodisiac. Among today's 50-plus women, the problem of sexlessness is as bad or worse than it was for older women two decades ago.

A six-month investigation by 60 Minutes and The Washington Post shows that there are hundreds of defendants imprisoned around the country who were convicted with the help of a now discredited forensic tool, and that the FBI never notified them, their lawyers, or the courts, that the their cases may have been affected by faulty testimony.
